Fun fact about bee stingers: whether or not they lose the stinger depends on the type of bee. Honeybees have barbed stingers and human skin is too spongy to pull the stinger out of, so it ends up ripping out their insides. It's mostly used to fight other insects, but sometimes used as a sacrifice against mammals to make sure venom is delivered to protect the hive. It's also possible for a honeybee to un-sting itself by crawling in a circle if the person managed to remain calm. Bumblebee stingers however, they aren't barbed, so they can sting multiple times
