the anime company sends the artist a script or block out of the series, the key things they want highlighted, and then the artist builds a song around that. then the animation company takes the small things theyve already done, matches them to the song and fills it out with longer shots that attribute to the music more specifically. i BELIEVE this is how this process is done USUALLY, i could be wrong though.

still love the Hayashii scene so much, also awesome they did an english version instead of just playing the japanese in the dub (tho the japanese version also hits hard)

It's so funny how he's basically Ranma 1/2 in this, but with youkai possession instead of a gender swap. XD

So for the Hyashii. The guitarist is the one from Megadeth, and the english singer is the singer from Dragon Force. In Japanese it's the lead singer of GRANRODEO (If you like Bungou Stray Dogs they do most of the OP's because the lead singer plays a recurring character with gravity powers.)

The English voice of the Hayashi performer that was singing the song is Marc Hudson from DragonForce

When the musicians are turning their knobs all the way to maximum on the speakers it's a reference to the beginning of back to the Future part 1 when Marty is turning the knobs to the extreme
