I have no idea why you skipped some of the episodes that y’all did because you are missing key character development
Oh ya'll are really skipping quite a bit. I mean, filler episodes are one thing but this' like watching the movies and skipping everything that's not a fight scene. I will not be surprised if ya'll end up not understanding half the stuff you're watching.
we've finished the best of S1 and it all made perfect sense. We're also not "skipping everything that's not a fight scene" that's something you concocted in your head lol

Must admit after reading everyone’s comments and Imputs , I like most of your audience and community am a bit surprised at how many episodes were skipped, feel like 3 and 4 would of been fun to watch and would o added more context and fun to these episodes. Hopefully you. Might include some more episodes in the future ☺️👍

You guys enjoy shows how you want to enjoy, bit surprised that so much was seen as being filler when I could only really place 2-3 episodes tops in the category. But maybe I’m too big of a Star Wars buff to care so there’s that lol. Don’t listen to the angry haters, just people being passionate about you guys missing stuff from an amazing show. They are skipping ep9 a very important episode and conclusion to this ep the next ones they are doing are 15-16 the finale of season one they are skipping 11-12 the introduction in the timeline of a very important charater for future series and 14 the setup ep of 15-16 they are missing some big call backs to Clone Wars and son introductions and setup of very important characters for future shows and eps
they also skipped the episodes which introduced other core characters, i feel if they at least find a good recap video then it wont be so bad, odd skipping the end of this arc though.
I've seen Bad Batch a handful of times and I do genuinely enjoy a full watchthrough. If you guys plan on skipping some of the lackluster EPs, I totally understand, but would y'all mind posting/showing the watchorder you guys plan on posting so I can catch up in-between? Tyyy

Yall are in for a ride with this show, the character development is so good! It’s so much more mature and darker than clone wars I’d say and really delves into some deeper themes with the clones in general

I can't lie I am kinda bummed yall skipped over episodes, but I can understand your stance on things, especially with such a long series with definitely some filler. Even I skip over plenty of episodes on rewatches. So long as you have fun and do what you enjoy I'm alright with it.
at first I was a bit saddened with the skip but then I looked up how many episodes of the show there actually is then became like "ok fair enough" lol been a while since I watched that i forgot they're not exactly short seasons lol

I'm more than happy with the skips, especially concerning some episodes but yeah I feel as tho 2 and 3 were pretty essential. I'll think on it and try to make a list for real and send it on here later, I just don't want regrettable stuff to happen.

I feel ok with skipping, but I think episode 2 and 3 should’ve been uploaded. It was full of popular moments and a well liked arc for the beginning of Crosshair’s/the Squad’s journey after the Republic. I just think those episodes should be revisited.

I got the diamond tier to watch the clone wars, but skipping episodes feels lame to me, I'm probably gonna cancel the membership and maybe I'll resume it if you guys watch rebels, much love to everyone though, just not my cup of tea

I wish you hadn't made quite a jump in skipping, since there's so much missed context here that isn't really filler at all. Such as the buildup to Wrecker getting affected by his inhibitor chip. You missed a clone wars character returning, a new character introduction that isn't Cid. Plus more Crosshair scenes and Empire buildup and some extra world building. I understand views, but I hope you have a selection of episodes that you have at least vetted somehow so you don't miss anything vital. If you were going to do this with any show, it should have been 'The Clone Wars' as that show has a lot of episodes that can be easily skipped without impact, since it was an anthology show. This and Rebels are character shows with the same main characters throughout the series and skipping episodes, especially big jumps like this means you are unintentionally skipping character development episodes. For Rebels, perhaps if you want to skip episodes, have a mod or someone make a list for you to follow instead of going off of what gets views so you can get the best of everything

I think its a good idea to skip the filler episodes, just be careful to not skip too many, because then you miss all the character development.
I have mixed feelings about skipping episodes, on the one hand I am sad they are missing some charcter development and spesfic episodes but on the other hand I'm still going to enjoy they're reactions to the main story of Bad Batch so I'm pretty okay with either when it comes to Rebels and other series.
I get why you're skipping to just the episodes that do well on Youtube, but at the same time it does seem like it's just hurting the Patreon subscribers experience for Youtube views. Especially when the Youtube videos are almost always a single compilation video per season anyway, so it's not like the views would drop and rise week to week.
This isn't the case. We had a big update video last month that we are uploading more frequently. YouTube videos are not almost always a single compilation video anymore and hasn't been for a bit. People gotta understand that YouTube viewership directly drives patreon viewership. Lack of YT interest results in lack of patreon interest. They go hand in hand and we treat both sides as equal as we can
Are they not usually a compilation? Just looking at the channel and in the past 7 days there are 6 "We binged" videos between movies and TV shows so it seemed like that's what you were still doing.
we are still uploading binges, those 6 binge videos you're seeing are there. You're not looking far enough to see all of the previous uploads that were uploaded prior to those binges going out
I love that you guys are watching all the episodes and just watching the important ones or ones that will do the best for your channels growth. But I think I love even more how pressed people are that have literally already seen every single episode as if you guys not watching it somehow affects them when they've already watched it. Don't change the format going into Rebels I beg you just learn what the most important episodes are and that's all you need to watch.

Never really comment but with people complaining about skipping episodes I just thought I would say I think you guys made the right call. Both Bad Batch and Rebels have some top tier star wars moments, but there is a lot of "filler" in between those moments that isn't essential to watch to understand the story they are telling. I for one am happy I won't have to wait multiple weeks just to get to the reactions of the episodes I really want to see. Anyway, really enjoyed the reaction and looking forward to more!
The thing is the guys aren't skipping based on plot or filler. They're picking which episodes to skip based on what gets the most youtube views on other channels. They're planning to skip any plot focused episode that doesn't get the big views.
And there's nothing wrong with that. Y'all have already seen all the episodes and a lot of them are filler with them skipping episodes they get to skip past the Filler episodes were also doing the ones that will get them the most Revenue back
Yes but don't you think a lot of what is skipped builds up your understanding of the characters personalities, motivations, just general character developing stuff. Did you look up those episodes they skipped, a couple of them have some important character moments that will make some future stuff less impactful.
I think you make a valid point but I can only speak to myself personally and I just don't really care that much. Never really resonated much with the BB characters (except maybe Crosshair) so I'm only really here for the major plot points that drive the story

I like that they are doing the chronological order for something different, but do completely agree with you that they should get their audience and community involved in helping to show interest and decide on which episodes we would be interested in seeing them react to as opposed to a “best of “ approach 👍

While I hoped for a full reaction, I will take what I can get. That said, I never watched the Bad Batch, so I'm gonna have to watch the gap episodes in between for my own experience. Still, glad to continue enjoying Star Wars with you guys.
Im keeping it a buck with you, you fumbled the skip and I’m pro skipping some episodes but this was just too much there are atleast 2 or 3 episodes that were important, pretty disappointing because they probably wont hit the same if you go back at this point.
We're having a great time, but not specifying what happens and what episodes we skipped doesn't really help us in any kind of context.
You missed the first appearance of a main character from a future show. You missed a clone that abandoned his post and started a family and was almost the little girls new home until she saved. You missed them trying to capture a baby Rankor, including Wrecker fighting a baby rankor. This is all I remember because honestly I was hoping to watch them again with you guys so I was holding off on watching the show again.
I wrote a big long comment about why i think skipping is a bad idea, but deleted it because I know there really isn't a point. The decision was made and I support it, just take your viewers opinion into consideration before you do the same to Rebels I beg you. Do a vote, do something just to gauge the communities feels about it before doing it please.

They already decided how they're going to go through watching Rebels and they're going to be skipping and watching episodes that are the most important and will do the best on the channel. That's what happens when you have a super super long show that has a lot of episodes that are frankly filler or you don't necessarily need to watch to get
Doesn’t mean that they can’t change their decision. Especially if most of their audience and community are giving them feedback and expressing their opinions about reviewing the decision to do a lot more Rebels episodes or even possibly the whole show/series. It is just showing that there is a lot of interests in the series as a whole ☺️👍
What some people call filler other call character development and growth, its the smaller episodes that build up the reputations of the characters in your mind, you don't ask questions about why they would do something in a specific situation that doesn't make sense when you watch it without context. There are plenty of filler episodes as you call it but a lot of them still push forward the plot in some detail, there is not a worthless episode in the 2 shows that doesn't give you some piece of information you otherwise would not have had if you hadn't watched the episodes, and when I think they are missing fun stories like Wrecker wrestling a baby Rankor, or we meet the bounty hunter from episode. It is what it is and it is their channel and I support them in whatever decision they make, hence why I didn't make a whine post saying I was going to unsub, these guys are cool and watching stuff with these guys is about the only social life I have so when I miss out on something I wanted to see with the reactors I am disappointed and I voice my opinion why I don't like the idea but whatever they do i'll still be watching because its all I can do. I just hope they are watching them in their spare time, or at least one of them is so they can share.
I get skipping these, but please don’t skip rebels episodes. It’s crazy you watched all the clone wars filler but skip bad batch episodes that are a lot better
And if they could they would probably go back in time and skip the Fuller episodes in Clone Wars but they didn't know better but now that they do know better that's why they're skipping through these episodes and while they'll be skipping through Rebels

With all due respect, It really stinks that this "best of" format is the route ya'll are going. I for sure understand the logic of condensing the animated shows when there's so much Star Wars to get to but why bother watching any of a show at all if you aren't going to appreciate the story the way it was meant to be viewed. You'd think that with all the Star Wars shows still to get to ya'll would be set for the next year or so from the standpoint of future content but instead we're rushing for whatever reason.
Can’t help but sometimes wonder if you guys are burned out from Star Wars but are sticking with it because there's an audience for it..
I personally don't think that to be the case* but if it was i'd rather ya'll not be burned trying to rush through Bad Batch and Rebels (something a lot of us SW billies have been patiently looking forward to) and just instead replace it with something you actually would want to watch in it's entirety without needlessly skipping.
But hey that's just my opinion and I guess anything is better than nothing (especially if we can continue to get a 2 for 1 episode drop). As a side note it would also be super helpful if we knew which future episodes are entailed in this "best of" category because that would really give us an idea of what we might actually be able to look forward to. However that being said, I did unfortunetly decide to cancel my Diamond subscription because I myself would just rather prefer to watch the condensed YouTube "best of binge" when it comes out than "less-invested" reactions with context gaps.
We're far from burnt out of Star Wars, we're enjoying what we've watched of Bad Batch. We have seen the lack of interest for this show and made a decision based on that and us not wanting to go through 60 episodes of this show. We're doing these episodes because we want too.

I hate sounding like a broken record, but please don’t skip this many episodes with rebels. I really wish you were doing all of bad batch, but in all fairness you guys didn’t miss much that’s important other than maybe a few cameos and more character building which were not exactly integral to the story. I can’t dispute that, but it is sad looking forward to a reaction to favorite moments and seeing they were skipped. It’s all love though I just really hope you don’t ruin Rebels for yourselves this way. Imagine watching a show like ATLA and skipping episodes… not saying this compares, but Rebels has some pretty heavy character development more so than Clone Wars or Bad Batch.
Completely agree, please do review your decision and check in with your audience about watching more episodes of Rebels than you have done with Bad Batch please. 🙏
The watch order goes Bad Batch, Solo, Obi Wan Kenobi and then Rebels. We will evaluate Rebels when the time comes and if the view discrepancy is on bar with what it is for Bad Batch then we will be doing the same. From the minimal research we've done so far that seems to be the case. But we won't decide until we're sure and closer to that show
Respectful, panicked reply, but do not do Kenobi before Rebels, it'll ruin one very specific important scene that they copied and I would rather watch that beat hit where it originated.
We are watching in chronological order so Kenobi will be before Rebels. That is already decided and will not change

I may have missed it, but I don't think they went over in these episodes as to why the dark uniformed troopers under Crosshair are conscripts and not clones. The project being named "War Mantle" (discussed in episode 4, I think). Wanted to provide that context incase it was missed, as that is important later on in both the show and Star Wars.

Yeah, guys... We thought you were going to skip a few here and there. This is a BIG jump. I don't know who told you that episodes 2-6 were filler or not to watch them, but they were just plain wrong. Maybe they forgot what content was in the episodes? All of the episodes between 2-6, with the exception of maybe episode 6, are important for both the story of Bad Batch and their character development.

Yeah I don't get it. They are reactors watching a show that has already resolved. Its not like its a bad show with a bunch of filler. Most episodes develop the plot forward, develop characters, only a handful are true fillers. Its not like they need to rush through this so I don't understand why they would just skip past good content. Its not like there is a rush to get stuff out and if there was watching another episode or 2 per release would be better than missing out. Just a weird decision and a bad one, a bad one they knew would be bad since they warned they were doing it before hand lol. Whoever made this decision for you guys needs a time out.
We didn't "warn because it's a bad decision", we're literally just keeping people in the loop for how we do things.
realistically the "best decision" we could make for the channel would be to drop the show. due to the severe lack of interest the community has for 90% of the episodes. But we'd rather enjoy the best moments of the show instead of skipping it completely. We just try to keep y'all in the loop as much as possible like Sean stated
In all fairness Bad Batch is probably the least viewed and least important show in the grand scheme of things (excluding anything sequel related lol). The Obi Wan series carries itself being a bridge between the prequels and original trilogy. Andor is just simply amazing and the most “Adult” of the Star Wars shows (Also takes place mostly the same time as Rebels). Rebels is easily the most relevant show though tying together almost everything. It probably won’t seem that way at first, but it is. But I can definitely see the communities interest in Bad Batch being reflected in the numbers.
understandable, we're extremely happy about our decision. But we understand if some don't like our decision. Especially after we finished the season and everything was extremely clear and made perfect sense. No one told us that episode 2-6 were filler, we looked at what episodes people actually watched and the MASSIVE view difference between episode 7-8 and 2-6 that was how we made our decision on what to skip and what not too
That's fair, i know you guys gotta keep attention, and theres a lot to get through. It might not be a bad idea to pull up episode summaries on the ones you skip to get a glimpse of what youre skipping. Either way, im excited to see your guys' reactions.
We actually plan to watch a full season recap after each season ends to make sure we have all context going into future seasons :)

same, this episode chunk was exactly the stuff we'd want and is clearly the important episodes. We've already finished S1's eps we watched since Diamond is now on a schedule and we understood everything completely. No need to slog through 16 episodes when the story is very clear in the few we actually watched
Yep and Rebels is the exact same way there's only a handful of episodes you need to watch to understand stuff that happens going forward and other shows which are the Ahsoka and Darth Vader episodes

I get that but I’m only here because they do consistent Star Wars content. I think it’s fair to advocate for more of the content I enjoy if that’s why I’m paying for a membership. I expect all members to do the same for the stuff they like.
There's a difference between being consistent and watching every single thing. They're still putting out consistent Star Wars content they're just filtering certain shows based on the importance of episodes in those shows
