Fionna and Cake isn't solely it's own contained thing, and it will continue the main timeline from Adventure Time, so definitely hold off watching it until you've finished the main show (and the Distant Lands miniseries) because there's gonna be big spoilers.
Honestly you guys should probably wait a bit before reacting to this. I can tell you this will more than likely contain spoilers for some stuff in adventure time. You guys only just got to the end of season 4. Just be careful is all I would say

yall this show continues storylines from Adventure Time, I think it would be best to watch it after Adventure Time: Distant Lands or else some really nice and powerful storytelling will just be lost...
We can wait until yall finish the OG series and Distant Lands before watching this. You kinda need to know the full picture before going into it since this series is 100% lore-based and non-episodic...

The trailer really doesn't have any explicit spoilers. I am super excited. Some people in the fandom don't like Fiona and Cake at all and others weren't on-board with the spin-off when it was announced. I've been cautiously excited since it was announced and I love the art/animation style.
I do agree that you should probably not watch this until you finish Adventure Time. The show has been indicated to very much has spoilers for Adventure Time.

I think you should have saved this trailer when you got farther along in the series.. Imagine watching the trailer for korra before even finishing avatar
I think the general synopsis for this show was something along the lines of Simon (aka iceking) traveling through detentions looking for something and that'd explain why we see different versions of people in different times etc. He is likely going to be hoping through dimensions and time maybe with Fionna and Cake? Bc Ice King in Adventure time can see into multiple different plains of exitance at all times. And it's been theorized that Fionna and Cake aren't something he made up like it seems in his stories. But things he's actually seen and wrote about.
Either way I am EXCITED.

I would till after you watch Adventure Time and the Adventure Time distant lands to watch this show (IMO)
Hopefully they wait till theyre done with adventure time, i feel like their would be spoilers to potential characters and info they wouldnt understand yet...
