Also this is my favorite of the distant lands personally. I am biased though, because it has my three fave characters. Marcy, Bonnie and Simon, in that order best to 3rd. Then I'd say Jake, BMO and Fin (In that order). Cant wait for the next distant lands
Marceline has been my top 3 favs (edging into 2) long before the show even ended and honestly this special made her a clear top 2 for me, arguably one. With ice king/simon as my top 1. Princess bubblegum is still in my number 3 spot.

It was a little concerning that they still couldn't figure out it was post AT finale even after seeing human Simon chilling with Marcy but I'm glad they eventually figured it out. But man growing up watching AT and then seeing Adult Finn brought tears to my eyes.
Same, I was also surprised to see that they did not understand the temporality. It was surprising to them that Marceline and PB were in a relationship, even though they had kissed at the end of the season. And Simon who returns to normal in the end.

PB and Marcy first relationship was the embodiment of right people wrong time. So after they both matured they were finally able to rekindle their relationship. Adult Finn was a surprise to be sure. Just two more and on to Fionna and Cake

Yeah Marcy's mom dying of radiation was so hard to watch the first time, it was just after the war since she hadn't meant Simon yet. Love that PB and Marcy have a healthy relationship. Also that was Jake's grand kid Browin

God I remember the way the internet broke after we all saw adult Finn at the end of this ep. The rampant amount of theories abt where Jake was, what the tattoo meant, how much time had passed since the finale, and why Bronwyn was traveling with her great uncle Finn.
I love obsidian, my second favorite speical right next to episode 3! Can't wait to see the next one, and then one day see fionna and cake!

Yeah If it was in real life, that statement would be valid, but in children's cartoons, characters are usually not separated after kissing in the end of a show.
Yeah but it was one of those not direct view kisses, and some people tried to claim that was just a hug when the finale dropped. So giving the extra confirmation was definitely needed to shut down all of the "they're just friends" people.
I find your explanation surprising. I have always believed that it was a kiss. And at the end of the episode, they appear to be a couples sitting on the couch.
Using the excuse that it’s just a children’s cartoon seems silly at this point with the insane amount of adult themes used in the show.
I don’t know why my message was deleted, but I’m writing it again. It’s not a excuse when i say it’s a children’s cartoon. I don't even say that to minimize the writing of the show but to emphasize that it's not real life, as you say Adventure Time has adult themes however, it would be strange if the creator decided to separate them just after the kiss without telling us why or how. I think a lot of fans wouldn’t have accepted.

Loving them watching the Specials. I really hope they watch Wizard City, before Together Again. Even if it's the release order, it really should be the finale. (Before Fiona & Cake)
they stated on the discord that they will be watching ep 3 last, but they might upload it first to avoid confusion? tho personally I think that would make for more confusion if they talk about it being the end in 3 lol
