They should totally watch Scooby Doo meets Batman or more of the Scooby Doo movies and when they decide on a new show, we should watch a pup named Scooby Doo

Hi, the song is "Thinkin' About You" by Solange Knowles (ft. Murphy Lees). It's the chorus and plays about 4 times in the song. It's song Number 4 on the official soundtrack CD, and can be found on YouTube. Hope this helps!

Scrappy is canonically known for his quite literally larger than himself ego so it makes sense he’d invite the entire gang. Especially after they kicked him out.

Full couch for these movie reactions. Just 2 doesn't feel the same.

So the actor for Velma was the voice actor for Hot Dog Water, and I’m pretty sure she used that balloon suit idea for both of her monsters

Yo at 01:24:40 why does that look like midlife Eric?

This is the reason they showed Scrappy Doo in Mystery Incorporated in their villain section of the museum. Remember they said "come on Daphne, you know we don't talk about him", lol.

So which one is Shaggy and which one is Scooby? I keep going back and forth. Ultimately, no wrong answers on whose who, just fun to talk about.

Erik has Lab dog feels so it's easy to say Great Dane Scooby Doo, but he also has GIGANTIC Shaggy vibes, all about them Scooby Snacks and wild, hare-brained schemes! Sean has lovable dog-like attributes easily, but also tends to be the more vocal of the pair towards the group, which Shaggy tended to be (on Scoobs behalf) more often than not in the cartoon series.

yes, I know Sean does the Scooby Snacks, too

yes, I know Erik does voice himself a lot with the group when needed by himself; comedically it seems like Sean does the talking for the "relationship" lolI meant to say Golden Retriever energy, but Labrador works just as well

Sean is a St. Bernard; Rugged yet floofy!

This movie was always a childhood favorite of mine, but as an adult, I will say I prefer the second movie.

The scene of Fred in Daphne's body bragging about being able to see himself naked has been burned into my brain since childhood.

I'm so glad you guys watched this, can't wait for the second. These movies are GOLD. The perfect live-action adaptations. The cast is peak, the cgi is amazing for its time, and they just genuinely capture the feeling of the og cartoons.

Fun fact: Mathew Lilliard, the actor who played Shaggy in these Movies, would go on to voice the character in most animations since then.

You know this brings back to an episode in the mystery inc show you guys reacted. So in the first episode where Velma shows off the spooky museum and that ghost from the beginning is shown in the background. And also in an episode(don’t know which one) where Fred and Velma where hanging out in the museum, the statue of scrappy is shown and they say they’ll never talk about it again.

It's unfortunate how much this movie absolutely destroyed Scrappy Doo. Like I get he wasn't anyone's favorite, but it's because that little due that Scooby even still exists and now because this very movie, WB is too scared to ever use him again, even in a revival movie of a tv show he was a major part of.

I'm gonna ask for clarification.  To my knowledge, nobody ever liked Scrappy, that's why he got benched for the entire 90s, only made a few minor appearances in 2000 and 2001 before appearing in this.  How do we figure that Scooby still exists because of him?

The ratings for Scooby were falling by the late 70s. Scrappy was reintroduced to liven the show and it worked, keeping Scooby alive for several more shows until Pup Named Scooby Doo reset the formula and then we got the renaissance in the late 90s.

And just think. If peter dinklage hadn't bitched about Hollywood using people with dwarfism for dwarf roles in fantasy then that one breakdown from McGregor wouldn't have happened

This movie is not good, but goddamn is it so much fun I don't care.

this was originally written to be PG-13 so unfortunately, a lot of things got cut out like Velma and Daphne being romantically interested in each other or Shaggy being a more obvious stoner. there's even deleted scenes of what Velma, Fred and Daphne were doing during the two year time skip.

The film hasn't really aged well in all honesty. The only good part of this film is the casting.

When your franchise has a character the fan largely dislike, sometimes you make an entire movie to get rid of them.

  32. Darc

The movies who's memes birthed the ultra instinct shaggy into existence and then eventually canon. Also they're super fun and silly to remember that these were originally supposed to be way more adult and parody

  33. Dylan

This one and the sequel were absolute peak for me growing up. Also cemented Mathew Lillard as the perfect shagy.

Absolutely. I had both movies on VHS and I watched them a ton as a kid. Watching it now, it does feel pretty corny, but it's still such a good movie that you never really forget.
