For context as to why superman is not just moppin the floor with orm is because he doesnt have any special resistance to magic like he does to everything else. He's as vulnerable to magic as someone like batman or fash or cyborg. A lot of people think its a weakness to magic but its not a weakness like kryptonite where is legitametly weakens him and drains him. He can fight back against magic... it just hurts him like it would anyone else.
Not sure if anyone else has said but. Usually superman has a natural weakness to magic. So any magician can be deadly to him.

Superman has no resistance to magic, it can hurt him. It's not as bad as Kryptonite which is an outright debilitating weakness, but it does hurt him. It also means Shazam can hurt him, as can Doctor Fate, and any magic user really. Of course being able to hurt superman doesn't mean you can kill him. It also depends on how powerful the magic is.
Magic works, and occasionally electrical attacks or high-powered lasers (although Superman reacts to those like it's a physical impact rather than it piercing/burning through him.)
Think of it like fighting a guy with a peanut allergy, just punching him will work but dusting your fists with peanut butter will be a lot worse. Magic hurts superman, but Kryptonite is the peanuts in this analogy

To answer Ruff’s question of how Krypton was destroyed, you first have to understand that they don’t have superpowers. Superman’s powers come from the radiation of earth’s sun. If he was raised on Krypton he’d be powerless. Now to explain how it actually happened, it depends on the universe but some examples have been a natural supernova, the Kryptonians mining into the planet’s core(sounds like an earthling fuck up. Go figure), and Brainiac being a douchebag.
They eventually reveal that there were other survivors including Supergirl, General Zod, Doomsday, Krypto the Superdog and Beppo the Super Monkey(I’m not joking).

Basically Kryptonians like Superman's powers depends on what kind of sunlight they got access to. Superman's got powers usually because Earth has yellow sunlight, where on Krypton there's a red sun so everyone's just normal.
Tbh there's like several different explanations over the years about how Krypton exploded. The best one imo is that they overused the natural resources to power their tech that led to earthquakes eventually slowly devastating the planet. Other ones are like: The planet's core was unstable due to mining, or some terrorist group used an ancient weapon from an old war, or even just Brainiac tricking them into thinking the planet was safe and they didnt need to move.

I have to say I was wondering for a while if some of the Dc animated movies your about to watch are going to spoil some of Young justice storylines. Does anyone in the comments know? I mean I think in the end it is irrelevant because there are some storylines that are just reacuring in diferent movies or shows. If you guys have fun with them in the end it does not matter where you see them first. Anyways I am hyped to see some more Dc animated movies with you guys, because I haven't seen a lot of them only read some of the comics. Have fun <3

dcamu is different than the dcau. dcau is the og continunity from the 1990's batman/superman/justice league cartoons. dcamu is just a different universe or like a reboot basically. the art styles between the two make it easy to determine what universe, but the two different titles (dcau and dcamu) are just to easily lable what universe it's a part of.

Cyborg wasn’t nerfed in Teen Titans, he just wasn’t this powerful at that point in the comics. The New 52 version of Cyborg is waaaaay more powerful than the original teen titans cyborg.

So, regarding the trident, Superman has no resistance to magic. And the Trident is the most magical thing in atlantis, though all the water powers the atlanteans are using is also magic. But anyway, yeah, the trident doesn't weaken Superman's powers like Kryptonite so much as it just cuts through the powers to hurt him.
Aquaman's origins has always been that he is half human half Atlantis. Also as others mentioned, tho I wouldn't say magic is Superman's weakness moreso that he has no resistance to magic, so it hurts him as much as it would hurt anyone else. Compared the Kryptonite which is an actual weakness but hasn't made an appearance here yet. There are a lot of Batman movies in the DCAMU, I am now remembering .You'll definitely see some familiar faces in upcoming movies.

two things to note 1. krypton is under a red sun so kryptonians do not have superhuman abilities on their home planet, while earth a yellow sun grants kryptonians the trademark powers of superman and generally kryptons destruction is a result of the planet itself becoming unstable but it varies depending on which comic storyline or continuity.
2. Superman has two notable weaknesses,1 is the different varieties of kryptonite with green being his achilles heal, and the other is magic of which superman is vulnerable
No offense to anyone that likes the Superman and Wonder Woman pairing, but I just always preferred and thought Batman and Wonder Woman would make more of an interesting couple.

Since you're confused about Superman getting hurt, Superman commonly has 2 weaknesses, Kryptonite and Magic, that's why the only characters besides Batman that people give a chance of beating him have magical abilities, because magic works on Superman.
